- 416: An alternative name for the server, and used as its logo. The origin of 416 is classified.

- AC: Alliance City, a large settlement near Spawn.

- Bor: Short for Borealis, the main shopping district.

- Cara Communism: An ideology promoted by the Comrades Union.
- CC: Cloud City, a large skyscraper-themed settlement.
- CI: Cara Island, Cara's old-world settlement.
- CN: Cara Nova, Cara's new-world settlement.
- CU: Comrades Union, a group of settlements promoting communism on the server.

- D: Short for diamonds.
- Dia: Short for diamonds.
- DB: Short for diamond blocks.

- EUC: Short for Ey Up Chuck, a greeting promoted by Beeper.

- Stams: Steamed Hams, a northern settlement on a giant keep-like structure.

- USUV: United Settlements of UltraVanilla, a consortium of towns and settlements that acts as the server's version of the United Nations.
- UV: UltraVanilla, a shortened version of the server name.
- UVPS: UltraVanilla Postal Service, a currently inactive ingame mail system.
- UVT: UltraVanilla Times, an ingame newspapwer run by Herm.
