The world border is a physical boundary that defines the playable area of the world. Currently, it has a radius of four million blocks in the overworld, and is centered around New Spawn. Its radius in the nether is 500,000 blocks, and is centered roughly around (-250,000, -250,000). Previously, the world border had a radius of 29,999,986 blocks in all dimensions, and was centered around (0, 0).

Attempts to Reach the World Border

In November of 2019, players Deodorante and PitaCuParizel successfully reached the world border in the overworld, making most of their progress via nether travel. They established a base near (29999986, 0), which is now inaccessible.

In May of 2022, Masskedman began an attempt reach the world border[was it finished?].

Other attempts are known to exist, but were either done silently or were poorly documented.
